Second floral decoration on our chest of drawers, this time accompanied by an awesome book we found at the Tate Modern museum shop. (We always find good stuff in the museum shops after a good exhibition..)
The book is ‘Empire of Death’ (Thames&Hudson), a magnificent book about Ossuaries around the world and the history of bringing the dead into our lives.
We were really sad when the crysantheums died almost immediately, but we met a girl who worked as a florist and she gave us this tip:
Cut the stems right off and place the bottoms in hot (almost boiling) water for 30 seconds. When they start to whither again, you do the same one more time.
We didn’t try it out yet, but if someone did, please tell us how it went!
